Insert your quarters OKR

In the upper left quadrant you can insert all your OKRs for the quarter. This space is designed for forward-thinking, allowing you to set and record your objectives for the upcoming quarter.

Warning: needs to be updated (or checked) each three months

Quarterly OKRs shall be new and different each quarter. You don’t have to adapt the OKR during the quarter if you see that you will not reach your targets, instead try to understand the reasons behind the fact that you are not reaching them. The most important part is about learning and improving, is not about continuously hit ambitious target. You will see that this is easier to do than to explain.

Insert your health metrics

Health Metrics (HM) are those Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that tells you if you core business is performing as expected while you focus on you OKRs. In this section, you can add such metrics. They always need to be measurable and easy to find and calculate. It shall not require you more than 5 minutes to update them before the monitoring session. This is the area to focus on the today business and check if everything is under control. Planning your health metrics well is important because they help you find a good balance between your goals (OKRs) and business as usual (BAU). Health metrics usually aren't about individuals but refer to your specific area and usually are linked to key metrics already in use.

Warning: needs to be updated (or checked) each three months

Health Metrics (HM) can be modified each quarter but is not necessary. If you identified them well then you will see they will not change as much during the year. It might happen that a HM will become your OKR for a certain period of time if you want to sensibly improve the performances linked to that. Depending on the incicators you identified, you might update them monthly and not necessarily every 2 weeks which is the MSF Italy OKR monitoring cycle.

Insert your OKR activities priority for the next 2 weeks

In this section, you can add all the tasks connected to the OKRs listed on the left. Remember, unlike OKRs, these tasks need planning for the next two weeks. You will get into the details of how you want to achieve your goals and will help you see during the quarter if you are making progress toward your OKR or not.

Warning: will be updated each two weeks

Regularly revisit and adjust your tasks to ensure alignment with evolving priorities and goals. This dynamic approach ensures your planning remains responsive and effective. Also if you see that an activity doesn’t produce the expected outcome contributing to the OKR, try to understand and write down why. This will help you in the quarter evaluation.

Regularly revisit and adjust your tasks to accommodate new responsibilities and changes, ensuring your plan remains flexible and reflects your evolving priorities. This regular updating helps maintain an effective and up-to-date schedule.
